Udon noodle restaurant

Where to start? The service was friendly. The food was good. We never received our drinks. I never received my food because they forgot about me so I left hungry. We wanted to try somewhere new. We did. Overall it was extremely disappointing and we will definitely not be returning.

Some of the best customer service I've ever had. They are always so friendly and they are always sure to greet you when you come in and say thank you when you leave. I've been able to make alterations to my meal and they will make them form me without a fuss. I'm a regular here and even before I started going here. If I ordered off doordash or skip the dishes the food would be as equally as good.

Good food for the price. I have never had Katsu in Edmonton so I was excited to try it here. I don’t think it was too dry or overcooked but I was hoping for something even better. We tried the mixed katsu so it was a bit of everything. The sesame dipping sauce was great! However the katsu were crispy but not as juicy as I would love them to be. I wonder if the curry katsu would be the best. Th bibimbap was not great and we suspect they forgot to put salt in it? The udon was surprisingly good among all three dishes we ordered. But I personally am not a huge fan for udon so I cannot comment much. However overall it is a great place for quick lunch or dinner during workdays for wholesome meal. We visited Saturday night and there were only one other table of guests.

Bad service. We were not offered water at any time we had to ask for it after 15 minutes of waiting. Our food came out at drastically different times, the staff gave 2 of us our meals and 3 of us had to wait while the other ate and it was kind of awkward. Eventually 2 more entrées came to the table and 1 person didn't have their food yet and it was even more awkward all of us eating while 1 person had no food. We were the only people in the restaurant so it was not busy so there's no excuse for this. There were 2 items on the menu that we ordered we were told that were out of stock and unavailable so we had to look again and order something else. When we received our bill the staff added their own tip to the bill and we were expected to pay that amount. I think tipping is important and necessary of course I have no problem tipping but the issue is that I the customer should be in charge of the amount I wish to tip. The food was fine but nothing to get excited about for the price pretty expensive. It was not an enjoyable dinner experience and we won't go back to this establishment.

I enjoyed the food, I ordered the deluxe vermicelli. I was expecting all 3 meats but only got the BBQ pork. The kids did not like pho soup. The noodle is a good option to order if you want to play it safe and do not know what to order.

I absolutely love this place, it's the best restaurant in town! Do yourself a favour and get the creamy citrus shrimp (so long as your dietary needs allow)!Anything to do with spicy tuna is also so good you'll forget what other food tastes like. I love the volcano roll the best!

Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Akane Sushi in Carrville. The service was top-notch, as the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. To my surprise, we were even treated to a complimentary fish head and noodle soup, which was a delicious start to our meal.The standout dish for me was definitely the sushi pizza. The deep-fried rice with salmon and mayo was a perfect combination of flavors and textures. It was a unique twist on traditional sushi, and I highly recommend trying it.The handroll was also outstanding, as it was stuffed with a generous amount of fresh avocado and salmon. The combination was delicious, and the roll was expertly made.Lastly, the tempura batter was perfect. It was light and crispy, not at all greasy. The shrimp and vegetables were cooked to perfection, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite.In conclusion, Akane Sushi in Carrville is a must-visit for sushi lovers. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the overall experience is fantastic.

The food is beautiful, fresh and tastes amazing! Definitely our favorite spot in Drumheller! I highly recommend you eat here!
